ShannonDoc says it stands over controversial changes to Clare’s out-of-hours GP services, following a three-month review and has pledged there’ll be no further cuts.
ShannonDoc says that it’s now surveyed patients and doctors affected by the changes in Killaloe, Kilrush and Ennistymon and insists that satisfaction levels are high.
The service has revealed that a tele-doc facility which was introduced in Kilrush has been wound up after just 2 months, due to a lack of demand.

Dr Pat Morrissey, Chairman of ShannonDoc, says no further cuts are planned.
