Clare VFI Insist Industry Shouldn’t Suffer Over Religion

The Chairman of the Clare Vintners Federation of Ireland insists that the industry shouldn’t be punished for religious reasons.

Pubs are closed this Good Friday, but probably for the last time, after the Seanád this week debated legislation which would lead to the end of the annual alcohol sales ban.

The government is not expected to oppose the law, which could be enacted on time to allow pubs open next year.
