There’s been a 12% drop in new car sales in Clare so far this year.
New figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show there were 1,790 new car registrations in the first three months of 2017, down from 1,970 in the same period last year.
The downward trend is roughly in line with national figures, with cautious consumer behaviour being blamed for the uncertain and challenging market this year.
