A Clare Fine Gael Councillor has criticised the Department of Public Expenditure over it’s handling of a review of the Capital Spending Plan.
The month-long process was announced with a press release on Friday, March 31st, and Councillor Bill Slattery says local authorities were not directly informed.
The deadline to make a submission is this Sunday, and the Lahinch Councillor fears that a chance to secure funding for capital projects in Clare could be lost.

2.65 billion euro of new projects will be included after this review, and Councillor Slattery has hit out at the short time frame involved.
