The Ombudsman for Children received 34 complaints by children in Clare, or on their behalf, last year.
It accounts for around 2 percent of the national figure of 1,682 complaints in 2016.
Each one relates to at least one child, where concerns were raised about services including education, which accounted for close to half of all complaints.

Reports were also received about supports for children with disabilities and mental health issues.
