University Hospital Limerick is reporting high levels of overcrowding once more today, on a day where most other hospitals appear to be relatively quiet.
A total of 280 people were awaiting treatment in Irish hospitals this morning, according to the INMO’s daily Trolleywatch statistics.
41 of those – over 1 in seven – are in Dooradoyle, with 23 in the hospital’s recently opened Emergency Department.

University Hospital Galway has 34 patients on trolleys today, further indicating that local health services are the busiest in the country.
