Figures Show 80 Percent Of Sports Clubs Have Access To Defibrillator

Eight out of ten Irish sports clubs have access to a defibrillator, according to a new report published by a Clare company.

The devices can be used in the case of a cardiac emergency to deliver a bolt of electricity to the heart.

However the study by Sixmilebridge-based Clubify has found the majority of people don’t know how to use the machines – despite having been trained.
