Clare County Council has been granted planning permission for developments to the beach at Spanish Point.
The approved development will include the refurbishment of the existing public toilet block and lifeguard hut, a new wheelchair accessible toilet and new waste water treatment systems.
One objection was made to the project over concerns that the project could lead to water pollution, but this was overturned.
