The US Vice President made a brief stop-off in Co. Clare last night.
Mike Pence and his wife Karen were in Shannon Airport for a time as their plane stopped off to refuel while travelling to the US from Eastern Europe.
Reports say the couple entered the terminal building, strolled through the Airport’s Duty Free Shop and posed for photos with US troops.

It’s not the first time the Vice President has been in Co. Clare – he visited his ancestral home of Doonbeg in recent years while he was Governor of Indiana.
