Jonathan Walters is a doubt for Ireland’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Georgia.
The experienced forward suffered an ankle injury during Burnley’s win over Blackburn Rovers in the English League Cup midweek and has been ruled out of their match against Tottenham this Sunday.
Martin O’Neill’s Ireland squad are set to assemble next week ahead of taking on Georgia in Tbilisi on the 2nd of September and Serbia at home three days later.
