Clare Gardaí are to be put to the test today, as part of a nationwide competition.
The local Division of the Force, along with the communities of Cooraclare and Cree, will be judged today as part of this year’s IPB Pride of Place competition.
The Gardaí have been nominated for their ‘Clare Teenage Disco’ initiative which has led to a reduction in assaults and drunkenness during discos.

Meanwhile, the two West Clare communities have been put forward for recognition following efforts by the Health & Wellbeing Team of Cooraclare GAA Club, which has engaged with locals in a bid to tackle isolation.
