A Shannon grandmother has been named the Clare Older People’s Volunteer of the Year.
Bridget Kirby received the accolade at an awards ceremony at the Template Hotel in Ennis.
The annual event, which now in its third year, formed part of National Positive Ageing Week 2017.

Bridget works with St Vincent DePaul, the Senior Citizens and Active Retirement, and she says she’s delighted to receive the honour.
