Ballycar Flooding Still On The Agenda Ahead Of Winter Months

Fresh calls are being made for a permanent solution to be urgently put in place to stop major floods recurring on the Ennis to Limerick rail line.

A two-mile stretch at Ballycar is a flooding black spot and severe weather has meant the route was forced to close for months on end on more than one occasion.

However, despite the issue dating back several years, a long-term solution has yet to be put in place.
