The number of chimney and domestic fires in Clare is on the rise.
Last year alone, Clare County Fire and Rescue Service attended 126 chimney fires and 50 domestic fires – an increase on previous years.
As Fire Safety Week gets underway, Homeowners in the county are being reminded of the importance of smoke alarms and making sure their homes are as fireproof as possible
