Shannon Airport has a one hour window this afternoon to secure a tourism boost for the region.
In an unprecedented move, German airline EuroWings has launched a social media competition to decide its latest route out of Cologne.
Shannon is down to the last three in the competition, going up against Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Trapani in Italy.

The final online vote takes place between 2 and 3 this afternoon and Shannon Airport is asking for your support to win top spot and secure an additional service for summer 2018.
