The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise again.
The latest figres from the INMO show 40 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick today, 24 of those in the emergency department.
It’s the highest of any other hospital in the country, with Letterkenny General Hospital the second busiest facility.
