Santa’s pre-Christmas visit to Kilrush has been saved thanks to efforts from locals in the town.
For reasons beyond his control, Father Christmas thought he wouldn’t be able to visit the children in Kilrush this year.
However, Kilrush Chamber and some local elves came together to build a grotto, fix his broken sleigh and get Santa’s visit back on track.

He’ll also visit the market square in the town this Saturday – and Maria Hartmann from J Hartmann Jewellers says it was a community effort to make sure it goes ahead:
