It’s feared there’s trouble down the line for Ryanair passengers, now that the airline has recognised unions for the first time.
Management at Ryanair will hold the first ever talks with the pilots’ union tomorrow after IMPACT last evening decided to suspend the planned strike on Wednesday.

The Christmas strike at Ryanair is off – for now, at least.
While Wednesday’s threatened stoppage will not go ahead, IMPACT is warning that it’s suspended rather than cancelled – and that it could be reinstated if they’re not happy with progression in tomorrow’s talks.
That will mark the first time ever that union reps will sit down with Ryanair management over workers rights.
Sinn Féin’s Transport Spokesperson Imelda Munster says it’s positive news for now at least.
However, fear has been expressed over what tomorrow’s historic talks will mean for the future.
It has led to some concern about whether Ryanair’s cheaper rates will be kept in place – as labour costs are expected to rise, so the shortfall will have to be met somewhere.
Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus, editor of Travel Extra Eoghan Curry believes it’ll spell bad news for passengers.
