University Hospital Limerick is asking people to refrain from visiting patients in their wards after seven cases of flu have been confirmed.
A number of other patients are also presenting flu-like symptoms at the Dooradoyle facility.
Those planning on visiting are being reminded that they can only come between 2 and 4pm and again from 6pm til 9pm.

They’ve also restricted it to one visitor per patient until further notice to prevent the spread of flu.
