Clare have taken victory over Cork in the second round of the Munster Senior Hurling League.
The Banner were the home side for what was a replay of last year’s final – and overcame the rebels 4-17 to 0-18.
Peter Duggan opened Clare’s scoring with a third minute goal and was followed shortly by Cathal Malone before a second Peter Duggan goal gave Clare a strong half time lead.
Niall Deasy gave Clare their fourth goal in the 50th minute, while a total of seventeen points for Clare confirmed the victory.
There’s uncertainty as to the next stage of the competition – with Clare down to play Limerick next weekend in the third round, although both sides have already progressed to the final.
