The Head of the Clare Garda Division is reassuring people that a work to rule will not effect the day-to-day policing of this county.
Garda Superintendents are engaging in the action as they claim the government reneged on a pay agreement, resulting in some senior officers receiving up to €6,000 less than inspectors working under them.
The work to rule means they will not take on any of the additional duties that are required for the five-year reform plan of the organisation.
