Two people have been arrested following a substantial drugs seizure in Co. Clare.
Cocaine with an estimated street value of 40,000 euro was uncovered at a premises in Fermoyle, Broadford around 7.30 last night, during an intelligence-led operation carried out by Gardaí in Killaloe and the divisional drugs unit.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene, while a second person, a 22-year-old woman was arrested during a follow-up search of a premises in Limerick.
They’re both being detained at Shannon Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act, where they can be held for up to 24 hours.
