It’s claimed Clare won’t feel the full effects of Brexit due to a strong economy driven by the success of companies in the Shannon region.
The former CEO of the Irish Exporters Association John Whelan is commenting ahead of major conference next week, which will see exporters come together to discuss potential issues on the horizon when Britain leaves the EU.
There was a boost for this region in recent weeks with the announcement of a major investment by Jaguar Land Rover in the Shannon Free Zone, with the creation of 150 new jobs.
