Fresh concern is being expressed in Clare that a failure to improve working conditions will lead to a shortage in qualified teachers.
It follows a survey carried out by the ASTI which reveals that job satisfaction among its members has dropped by over a quarter in the past nine years.
It found that just 51 percent of secondary teachers are either satisfied or very satisfied with their jobs, compared with 77 percent in 2009.
