UL President Sees Huge Potential In ‘New Town’ Plan

The UL President has talked up the benefits to South-East Clare of a new town that is to be developed there.

The ambitious plan, unveiled this week by Clare County Council, comes with the promise of 3,500 jobs and was unanimously supported by Councillors.

It will be located on the Northern campus of the University, which is in Co. Clare, but some in nearby communities such as Clonlara have expressed concern about the impact on their areas.
