Irish Water has confirmed that upgrade works on the Gort Regional Supply Scheme is to go ahead.
The investment is part of a €1.54 million project that includes upgrades to Gort & Spiddal Schemes, with works being carried out by Coffey Water Limited.
The works, which are aimed at improving water quality and alleviating the risk of cryptosporidum, will begin in the coming weeks and will be completed by the end of September.
