Nurses say the region’s main hospital remains one of the busiest in the country once again today.
The latest INMO figures show 46 patients were left waiting for beds at Universtiy Hospital Limerick, 22 of those in the emergency department.
The overall level of overcrowding is a slight drop on yesterday’s figure of 56.

It comes on a day when 465 people have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country, a 6% rise on this day last year.
