The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is continuing to rise today.
The latest figures from the INMO show 53 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this mroning, 29 of those in the emergency department.
It remains the busiest hospital in the country on a day when 399 patients are waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
