Major Spike In Overcrowding At UHL

There’s been a major spike in overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.

Latest figures from the INMO show that 50 people were left waiting on a bed at University Hospital Limerick this morning – up from 33 yesterday.

26 of those are on trolleys in the emergency department, with the remaining 24 being accommodated in overflow areas of wards.
