The builders of new housing estates in Clare could be forced to display house numbers on the doors of their homes.
That’s despite local representatives being told that there is no basis in law to mandate that each homeowner ensures that they display home owners.
They called for the measure in order to help the likes of emergency basis, and were told that the stipulation could potentially be included in the future when planning permissions are granded.

Ennis Councillor Pat Daly was one of those seeking the measure.
