Clare’s Independent TD has described the appointment of a new executive director of the Sláintecare health reform programme as a ‘step in the right direction’.
But Dr Michael Harty insists Laura Magahy must be given robust duties in the role to ensure that the programme progresses quickly.
It’s now over a year since the much-lauded plan was launched by the government and Dr Harty has been a regular critic of the pace of rolling out the reforms.
