It’s claimed a planned night bus to serve rural parts of East Clare will only boost nightlife there if publicans give it their backing.
Clare Bus is planning to pilot a scheme which would see buses serve East Clare on Thursday and Friday nights up to 11.30pm.
The buses would serve Feakle, Scariff, Bodyke and Tuamgraney, while a Friday service would also stop at Feakle, O’Callaghan’s Mills, Kilkishen and Tulla.

An application has also been made to the National Transport Authority to roll it out in the North and West of the county Maghera Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Hayes has been telling Clare FM’s James Mulhall that people need to get behind it.
