Two Clare towns have been revealed as among those with the highest commercial vacancy rates in the entire country.
A new survey by GeoDirectory shows that 26.6% of the commercial properties in the Kilrush town are lying idle, which is only surpassed by Ballybofey in Donegal.
Additionally, the rate in Shannon is 25%, the fifth worst, while that of Ennis is 18.1%, meaning all major urban centres in the county have a worryingly high vacancy rate.
