Widower Of Ovarian Cancer Victim Raising Funds For Charity Through Doolin Motorcycle Fest

A North Clareman who lost his wife to ovarian cancer is using his love of motorcycles to raise vital money for cancer charities.

James Clancy’s beloved wife Marie died in May 2014 from the disease and the following August, he set up Marie’s Foundation and raised funds through the Doolin Motorcycle Fest.

This year, the event will take place at the Pavillion Theatre and Storehouse in Lisdoonvarna with a bike show, ride outs and music from Damien Dempsey.

All of the money raised this weekend will go to cancer charities and James says it’s important to him that they continue to do so in Marie’s memory:
