Trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital are continuing to spike.
Latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that there were 63 patients without a bed at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 38 of those on trolleys in the ED.
It’s just a slight ease from Friday’s figure of 65 and is more than double that of any other hospital nationwide today.
