Clare Gardaí will be out in force on the county’s roads over the next 24 hours as part of National Slow Down Day.
The safety campaign kicked in at 7 o’clock this morning and will run until the same time tomorrow.
Last year saw 157 people die on Irish roads which was the lowest number to date – but Gardaí say that is still 157 too many.
