Irish Water Reassures Plans Progressing To Deal With Wastewater Treatment In Clare

Irish Water is reassuring that plans aimed at addressing wastewater treatment in parts of Clare are progressing.

It follows a report published earlier this week by the EPA, which has criticised the pace of works aimed at ending the process of pumping raw sewage into the environment.

The water utility says plans for wastewater treatment plants in Ballyvaughan, Clarecastle, Kilkee, Kilrush and Liscannor are advancing, with provisions made for the treatment of wastewater at Clarecastle.

While, a number of additional projects aimed at improving the infrastructure in Shannon Town, Quin and Kilfenora are also moving ahead.
