A leading economist insists that the cost of renting a home in Clare is rising at an unhealthy rate.
The latest data from DAFT.ie show the average monthly rent in Clare has risen by almost 8% in the third quarter of the year to €784.
Nationally, there’s been an 11 percent increase this year alone and a 30% hike on the Celtic Tiger era.

The Finance Minister, Paschal Donohoe has acknowledged that people are highly stressed about increasing rents which he says has to change, but he insists steps are being taken to address it.
