Councillors in Clare have voted to approve their draft budget of €117 million for 2019.
It’s an increase of €6 million on last year’s, though the General Municipal Allocations for each of the four districts in Clare has been cut by €75,000, which led to some concern from West Clare councillors in particular about the overall budget.
The biggest chunk of money – over 30 million – will go on road transport and safety, while 18 million has been designated for housing next year.
