Gardaí in Shannon are investigating a major brawl that took place in a Shannon hotel last night, which resulted in one person being hospitalised.
A kickboxing fight night was taking place at Treacy’s Oakwood Hotel when the violent incident broke out.

Gardaí received a call after 11 o’clock last night, informing them that a major brawl had broken out at Treacy’s Oakwood Hotel in Shannon.
The local kickboxing club had been holding a fight night there when the row broke out.
Two units from Shannon Garda Station were dispatched to the scene, while assistance also arrived from Ennis.
Officers broke up the row, with one person hospitalised for minor concussion and no other major injuries reported, while it’s understood no damage was incurred to hotel property.
No arrests have been made.
Footage has been circulating on social media of the incident and Gardaí are examining CCTV footage from the hotel as part of their investigation.
