Coillte is looking to invest €150m euro in a large windfarm in East Clare.
The Irish Independent reports that the wind farm would contain up to 25 turbines, and would be located at Carrownagowan, close to Broadford and Bodyke.
The State forestry company is reported to have held initial talks with An Bord Pleanála in relation to the project, and has previously announced plans to invest around one billion euro in wind energy.
