It’s claimed tour bus operators are causing ‘mayhem’ on North and West Clare roads by taking shortcuts through rural areas.
Ennistymon Fianna Fáil Councillor Richard Nagle says he’s received a number of complaints from concerned locals about buses that are supposed to travel primary routes coming down rural roads.
The issue is said to be damaging the roads, as the vehicles are too large to travel on them, as well as causing traffic chaos.

Clare County Council has written to the National Transport Authority to vocalise these concerns, while Cllr Nagle says it’s causing anger locally:
