Sculpture To Be Unveiled To Mark Ennis Cleanest Town Crown

A permanent sculpture to mark the achievement of Ennis being named the Cleanest Town in Ireland is being unveiled today.

The €40,000 artwork, entitled Bláth na hInse, will take pride of place in the Abbey Street car park and has been funded by the Irish Business Against Litter group.

Though it slipped from the top spot this year, Ennis was deemed by IBAL to be the cleanest town in the country in 2017.

Bláth na hInse, meaning the flower of Ennis, has been designed and built by Kilkee-based blacksmiths Conor and Paddy Murray – Conor says it was a privilege to work with his dad on it:
