The Bishop of Killaloe is calling on people in Clare to keep in mind those who are less fortunate than them this Christmas.
Fintan Monahan’s comments come in his annual message to Clare FM listeners.
Bishop Monahan also spoke of other issues, including reaching out to those touched by bereavement around now, as he extended his Christmas blessing:

Meanwhile, the Church of Ireland’s Bishop Kenneth Kearon is calling on us to extend the hand of welcome to those from overseas who have joined us in Ireland this year.
In his Christmas message, Bishop Kearon is reminding Clare that Jesus himself was a migrant:
