The Clare Chair of the Vintners Federation of Ireland says publicans can expect a boost of three to four times their usual trade this week.
Tonight in particular is one of the busiest dates in the calendar for pubs around the country and provides a welcome boost to the industry, which has been struggling since the recession.
While publicans look forward to a boost in footfall, patrons are advised to drink responsibly and ensure they know how they’re getting home.
