Over 400 domestic violence incidents were reported to Gardaí in Clare in 2018.
Figures released by Clare Garda Division show there were 408 incidents, including breach of orders, assaults and domestic related incidents.
New domestic violence legislation was signed into law on the first of this month, and Gardaí are urging those affected in the county to contact your local garda station or any other agency that assists victims of domestic abuse.
