Nine Men’s Sheds groups in Clare are to benefit from a new announcement of government funding.
The groups are located in Clarecastle, Doonbeg, Ennis, Ennistymon, Mountshannon, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Parteen, Shannon and Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry, with each group receiving just over €1,600 euro.
It’s part of a €500,000 nationwide funding scheme for Men’s Sheds by the Department of Rural and Community Development last year.

The funding will be used to upgrade facilities, purchase equipment or carry out minor works and has been welcomed by Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway:
