The 21st annual West Clare Mini Marathon is taking place today (Sunday).
The 8km route known as the Wild Atlantic View starts and finishes in Kilkee, with breathtaking coastal scenery along the way.
Runners will depart from St Senan’s Church in the next few minutes, while the walkers will follow at 1.30pm.

The event raises much-needed funds for the West Clare Cancer Care Centre – and Willie McGrath from the centre says every cent paid to enter the race will go towards their worthy cause:
