Commuters in Clare are being advised to drive with extreme caution this morning, as treacherous icy conditions remain on many roads.
A combination of rain overnight and subzero temperatures this morning, have led to icy conditions in many areas, while gritters have been out since the early hours to make roads as safe as possible.
A number of minor road crashes have been reported in Clare in recent days and emergency services here are calling on people to slow down and arrive alive today.
