Renewed confidence is being expressed in the future of the Shannon Venue project.
A question mark has hung over the multi-functional Community, Civic and Arts Centre since late last year, when just €100,000 of the required €11 million was allocated to it by central government.
Last night saw over 150 people pack into the Oakwood Hotel, where strong support was expressed from the crowd in keeping the foot on the pedal.
Now it’s hoped Clare County Council will take a leading role in its management, while the Finance Minister is being called on to reveal why a previously promised €5 million in funding has fallen short.
